What do I do?

Where do I start?

Begin by deciding what style of inkjet card you want. Custom, or a ready-made from our range of Factory, Map or US specials.

Please then read through the appropriate section on the page orders on-line.

All inkjet cards are single sided and should take no longer than 2 days to process.

What do I get?

Your Acrobat QSL.

You get your chosen inkjet QSL card in the form of a file, delivered to you - guaranteed virus free - by email. The file is a high resolution (300dpi) Acrobat .pdf document which is compatible with the Mac, PC and Unix operating systems.

The document contains three images of your card and will print equally well on both A4 and US Letter sized paper. All the necessary fonts are embedded within the document.

What will I need?

Scalpel and ruler needed.

To trim the printed cards you'll need a scalpel (craft knife) and ruler. Scalpels are available from any supplier of artists' materials.

If you intend using high gloss paper to print your cards, you'll need an 'overhead projection pen' to fill out the card. These pens guarantee completely smudge free results, get one at your local graphic art suppliers.

Inkjet paper suppliers.

We suggest an internet search to find a suitable paper supplier. There are many suppliers around the world to choose from - for those of you in North America a visit to paper2u should prove worthwhile.

The following examples are based on stock available from ConsumableMad in the UK, a company whose products we have used and can highly recommend.

Photo quality inkjet paper, in packs of 100 sheets, for use up to 2880dpi - 120gsm (REF # PP001) £4.99 - 210gsm (REF # HWP001) £9.75.

Three boxes of 120gsm paper would cost (including delivery etc.) roughly £22.50 - making 900 full colour custom inkjet QSL cards, approximately one quarter the cost of equivalent ready printed cards.

Printer ink from the same supplier (and many others) is also approximately one quarter of the prices charged by Epson, HP etc.

Suggestion

Consider having a two tier paper system eg. a 120gsm paper for your everyday cards and a 210gsm card to really impress the DX.
